Token Launch Sniping

Detect and execute on new token launches on Pump.fun and other platforms.

Updated March 202510 min read

Token launch sniping involves detecting new token launches and executing buy transactions as quickly as possible after launch. This is one of the most competitive strategies on Solana, requiring sub-second execution.

Launch Detection

Subscribe to gRPC transactions for the Pump.fun program (6EF8rrecthR5Dkzon8Nwu78hRvfCKubJ14M5uBEwF6P) with PROCESSED commitment. Parse transaction logs for InitializeMint events to detect new token creation.

Evaluation Logic

Not every new token is worth sniping. Implement evaluation criteria: developer wallet history (has this wallet rugged before?), initial liquidity amount, social signals (Twitter/Telegram activity), and contract characteristics (is mint authority revoked?).

Execution Speed

Speed is critical. Use co-located infrastructure near Frankfurt/Amsterdam validators. Pre-build transaction templates that can be customized and signed in microseconds. Submit to multiple RPC endpoints simultaneously.

Risk Management

Sniping is high-risk. Many new tokens are honeypots or rug pulls. Implement strict position limits, automatic sell triggers, and maximum loss thresholds. Never risk more than you can afford to lose on any single snipe.
